Woojung Bae

I am a mathematical statistician at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER).

I have a wide-ranging interest in statistics, with a particular focus on Bayesian methodology, non/semiparametric methods, causal inference, mediation analysis, hierarchical models, survival data, longitudinal data, methods for handling incomplete data (including intercurrent event data and missing data), and software development.

Prior to joining the FDA, I completed my Ph.D. in Statistics at the University of Florida under the guidance of Dr. Michael J. Daniels. During the summer of 2022, I served as a Ph.D. research intern at Regeneron within the biostatistics and data management team under the mentorship of Dr. Chenguang Wang. Originally from South Korea, I earned a master’s degree in Statistics from Yonsei University under the supervision of Dr. Sangwook Kang. Additionally, I obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Kyung Hee University in 2016.
